No, this is not about the show on Etc. But I was actually watching it when I thought of writing an entry.

I mean, what if you’ll try my life? Do you want to know what it’s like?

For starters, I’m an early bird and wake up around 5:30 in the morning. I take a bath for 15 minutes or so and then surf the internet to update myself. At around 6:30, I prepare what I’m going to bring at work and what I’m going to wear. After that, I’m going to brush my teeth and wash my face.

Then, I walk a few blocks to ride a jeepney since the route in our village is overturned. We are now the last to get picked up by the jeep.

Before 7:00 I should have taken a ride or else I’m going to be late for work (it starts at 8:30). The journey last 30 to 45 minutes from home. After boarding the jeepney, I need to alight the MRT to avoid traffic. 15 minutes or so, I’m near the office and just have one more jeepney ride away.

I arrive at the office just in time and I login at HR since I don’t have my ID yet. Just turned probationary recently, by the way. So, I work until 6:30 in the evening and then sometimes I use my privileges of company shuttle service.

Sometimes I wait at a certain mall for my gf or I just go directly at their house. Most of the time I eat dinner there. We wait for tricycle around 9 in the evening and I arrive at home around 9:30 to 10:00 depending when the tricycle arrives.

That doesn’t stop there. I don’t rest immediately when I get home. I still turn on the computer and surf the internet. I update myself with my mail, online leagues and writing gigs.

I hit the forty winks around 10 to 12. And had to wake up at 5:30 again.

So, would you like to try my life – I mean, one day of my life?

Inevitable death

We all know we’re going to die but we just don’t know exactly when our time is up.

I experienced last year how it felt to lose a close family member. Unfortunately, my grand mother died on a tragic accident in the bathroom. She probably had an heart attack and fell. A pool of blood was left behind which originated from the right side of her skull.

Our neighbors helped my other family members to carry lola to the car and they rushed her to the hospital. I remained at home with my sister and waited for the result. They came back wearing frown on their faces.

Actually, I thought the reason why God took her already was because He doesn’t want her to suffer anymore. Before her death, she already has chronic pain on her knees because of rheumatism.

Vividly, I remember what happened to the last few hours of her life. Around midnight, she woke up while I was watching Shawshank Redemption (great movie, by the way), and she asked if I could get the flashlight. I got it and thought it was unusual.

On the day of her death, I was on the computer when she asked where is my brother. I hate to admit that I said blankly that I don’t know, then I remember that he was going to watch a volleyball game

After a few minutes or so, my aunt rushed to the living room and called on my sister. I felt that there’s something wrong. They busted open the locked door of the bathroom and saw her lying with blood on the tiles.

I went to the Church because my parents are attending the Mass but it’s about to end when I got there. My sister on the other hand, hurriedly followed me and she was the one who called my parents. I don’t know why I didn’t have the courage to say to them what happened.

Yesterday, we visited my significant other’s grandmother who doesn’t have the strength to stand anymore. Last night, they even carried her when she’s about to urinate It prompted me to write this entry. I hope everything will be fine for her and we just have to accept what’s God’s plan is for her.

Ber-Month

Time really flies when you’re working. You wouldn’t notice that it’s already September. I didn’t notice I’ve been working as a corporate slave for four months now. Ok, that may be harsh, should have just termed professional or something.

Anyway, if you wouldn’t look at the calendar, you would recognize the change with the cold breeze of the wind during sleepness nights. My brother and I usually circulate at least a fan, but now, we could sleep peacefully without it.

Most of the time, when the year hits September, it means we’re approaching Christmas time. A little over 100 days are left before we celebrate the birth of Christ. My officemate even greeted me Merry Christmas.

Last year, it was the happiest Christmas time I’ve experienced. Well, I spent the first part of Christmas, which is Christmas Eve, with my family and the second part, Christmas day itself, with my other family. Hold your horses, I don’t have a family of my own, it’s just my significant other’s family.

Patience is a virtue

Waiting and patience often times go hand in hand. If you’re not patient, you get irate easily when you’re waiting. But if you are the opposite, you wouldn’t mind staring at something for hours.

I fall on the latter part.

Actually, I’m not sure where did I get my patience. My parents don’t have it. My grandparents aren’t like that too. So, I could clearly say I’m not born to be one. Guess I just made myself to tolerate most things.

In college, my peers and alike usually tease me and what not, but I do not mind. I just laugh at them or smile for no reason, knowing that they aren’t serious. My logic tells me why would I take it seriously?

Also, I’ve already experienced waiting for hours. No, I do not mean one or two hours. More often than not, it’s longer than that. I admit sometimes I get impatient if it’s that long but when you see her arriving, hastening her walk rate, sweat falling down on her forehead, then everything fades away.

Why in the heck I’m talking about this? Well, for two consecutive days now I’ve waited until 9 in the evening, when I’m off from work at 6:30 PM, in a mall located somewhere in the Metro. Thank God there’s Powerbooks where I could burn time by leafing through a baseball book. Next thing you know, she’ll text that she’s already near the place.

365 things I love about you

365 days have passed and it seems that each day we’re together, I’m falling in love even more. Here’s why:

1. I love the fact that we’re open to everything.

2. We communicate every day, even a single text is enough

3. We’re mature enough — or is it because you’re older?
